The Spiritual Seeds Planner Difference

We started our blogs by telling you who we are and why we created the Spiritual Seeds Planner.  Now we want to tell you more about what makes this planner different, because we know there are MANY other planners out there.  In solidifying our concept, we looked at many motivational and faith-based planners.  Many are wonderful tools for setting goals and achieving them, but ours is different.

The Spiritual Seeds Planner is for a Christian individual who leads a busy life with many demands on their time.  They start every day with the best intentions to put God in the forefront of their thoughts and get everything on their list checked off.  The end of the day is often filled with disappointment and frustration. That is us too! The planner was designed to shift the focus from the boxes to living a Fruitful life.

Take a look at Galatians 5 (The Message)

16-18 My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are antithetical, so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don’t you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

22-23 But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others (LOVE), exuberance about life (JOY), serenity (PEACE). We develop a willingness to stick with things (PATIENCE), a sense of compassion in the heart (KINDNESS), and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people (GOODNESS). We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments (FAITHFULNESS), not needing to force our way in life (GENTLENESS), able to marshal and direct our energies wisely (SELF CONTROL).

25 Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives..

How does the Spiritual Seeds Planner help us achieve this?

  • Aligns our actions with our goals and priorities, namely living a Spirit filled life and producing Fruit.
  • It brings focus to the Fruit instead of ourselves.
  • Provides visuals, creates habits, and tracks actions against goals.
  • Success is in the process of writing, acting, and reflecting on producing Fruit. Then the process repeats itself.

What if you were attached to your plan for a Spirit Filled Life as much as you are attached to your smart phone, or workout app?  Wow!

We invite you to review the HOW IT WORKS page under tools to see the details.  The video of the entire planner also shows you the format clearly.  All the calendar essentials are there-a year at a glance for 2020 and 2021, Monthly calendar, then Weekly calendar.

The reflection and planning around your Spiritual Fruit is what makes our planner unique.  We’ll start the year off with an Annual Fruit Inspection.  This is your opportunity to reflect on how you would describe each Fruit of the Spirit in your life right now, and in four key areas or plots (since it’s our garden).  These are Family/Friends, Community, Self/Personal Well Being, Vocation/Work.  The inspection sets the stage for the year to come.  Pick a Spiritual Fruit each month as a focus and then DIG in!  Give detail on how you see the Fruit now, and then a list of ways to PLANT + CULTIVATE + GROW this Fruit every day throughout the month.  By creating actions and planning them into your week first, you have committed to them.  At week’s end, reflect on how you’ve done.  Will you repeat some of these actions? How will you improve your focus and devotion to these actions weekly? Prayer is key to growing Spiritual Fruit and we ask the Holy Spirit to guide us as we reflect and plan.

Leann and I designed this together with input from our family and friends, and we strongly suggest creating a group to work the planner together.  You will find, like we did, that discussing our faith, how to strengthen it and project it was a enriching conversation.  We offer group discounts, but would also love to help kick off your group. Just email us at team@spiritualseedsplanner.com

We hope you’ll agree this is a paradigm shift in planning!  Really it's a shift in the way we live our lives, with our Spiritual Gardener role as our priority.

Good God,

You are the Master Gardener! I turn my plots of soil over to you! Show me the way to bear Fruit and share it generously with my family, friends, and even those I don’t know.

See you in the Garden!
